From there she attended the University of Pennsylvania, an internationally renowned Ivy League school, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Returning to California, she completed her specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where she also earned a Master of Science degree. That combination of medical science and clinical training gives her an unusually thorough foundation for diagnosis and treatment planning.

Dr. Sabet has been involved in research throughout her education. She was published in an article on the ability of optical coherence tomography to detect caries beneath dental sealants and co-authored a book chapter on optical coherence tomography in oral cancer detection. 

While at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, she contributed to cleft palate research. In recognition of her clinical promise, she was selected for the school’s Clinical Honors Program, a small group of students chosen for excellence, and she presented advanced treatment techniques from a complex, multidisciplinary case at a research symposium.
